For the third year in a row, I was invited to experience the Ramadan buffet at The Danna Langkawi. It continues to be one of the more consistent and reliable Iftar options on the island, especially for those who prefer a spacious resort setting in addition to an extensive selection of dishes.

This year’s edition, Citarasa Danna x Cili Kampung, combines the resort’s signature creations with the well-known flavors of Cili Kampung, a popular local restaurant known for its traditional Malaysian dishes. The collaboration focuses on familiar Malaysian dishes alongside The Danna’s more contemporary selections.

The 2026 Ramadan program, which includes local community outreach, is led by General Manager Remco Rademaker and Resort Manager Fuad Hamzah. As part of the program, students from a local school were also invited to this year’s Ramadan buffet. The Ramadan buffet runs daily from February 19 to March 20, 2026 at Planter’s, from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. It’s open to both hotel guests and the public.

Among The Danna’s highlights are Somtam Lobster, Daging Harimau Menangis, Cencaru Belah Belakang, Seafood Paella, Chef Afnan’s Yong Tau Foo, and a live Tiramisu station prepared on the spot. The selection reflects the resort’s mix of local favorites and international influences.

From Cili Kampung, diners can expect Masak Lemak Cili Api, Asam Pedas, Terung Goreng Belacan, Ayam Masak Kicap, and Sambal Merah. These are straightforward, home-style dishes that remain popular during Ramadan.

The layout at Planter’s makes it easy to move between stations, and the overall setup is practical for families and larger groups. There’s also live piano music during dinner service, which adds a nice atmosphere to the evening.

Pricing is RM199 nett per adult and RM99 nett per child aged 7 to 11. For bookings of six persons and above, the rate is RM159 nett per adult and RM89 nett per child. Langkawi Resident Card holders receive a 30 percent discount.
Reservations can be made via WhatsApp at 013 343 1282 or by email at [email protected]. For those planning their Ramadan dining in Langkawi, this collaboration offers a balanced mix of resort favorites and traditional Malaysian flavors in one location.
